Summer of 2010 ~ August

August I was introduced to a website where some very fabulous ladies use spray paint to redo furniture! Love that idea, but I'm not so sure we were prepared for how much spray paint it would take!
We picked up this bookcase at a sale the state was having to get rid of their old furniture. I think at most it was $10.00 which was great because it is really well made! It came with a back and shelves but we removed those already. It also had some holes (about 1 1/2 - 2 inches in diameter) in the side that were taken out to run wires and things like that.
We used the rest of our wallpaper from our kitchen redo in Sandy and placed that on the back of the bookcase to cover some of the holes.

Then we patched the holes and started spraying!

Here is the finished product! I think it took 2-3 cans of primer and 3-4 cans of color. Once that dried we put an antique glaze on it and and put it in our front room! I love the color it adds.
