This being our first house we bought it knowing that we wanted to drastically change the outside/yard, but we loved the inside. The colors were warm and very rich which was nice but the longer we live here the more I'm ready to change things up. Our front room wall feels HUGE because of the vaulted ceiling so we've had a hard time figuring out what to put there...not to mention that our couch matches the wall! We needed help! Enter Carol Tuttle! I love how God gives you what you need when you need it most. Carol wrote a book called "It's Just My Nature" and after reading it I decided that I'm a type one trapped in a type 4 world. She talks a lot about dressing your truth and how to change that, but I wanted to go a little farther and start changing my house too!

Before

I started by changing the color of the wall to a bright happy green! I actually took her book into Home Depot with me because I love the color of her jacket. I sent it through their color match machine and slathered the results all over my wall!!! I love the color!
Then I moved on to pillows! I decided I wanted the pillows to represent members of our family and what type I think they are.

This pillow is for my cute hubby who is a type 2. It was the softest material I could find and it is huge and very comfy!

Then I tackled the wall. My friend, Talie Bagley, posted on her facebook page some examples of art that she had been doing and selling online. I fell in love with this one because of the bright happy colors and the swirls that whimsically dance through the picture. So I decided to convince her to make me a HUGE replica of the painting she posted online. This painting is roughly 4' x 8'

Here is the finished room! I was able to score an amazing deal on couches from Liddiards in Tooele and I even changed the material in my grandparents old radio to be shimmery with little whimsical flowers flowing through it! I had a blast and now I LOVE this room! It somehow feels happier to me and it represents in every way people who inspire, uplift, and celebrate my life with me. Thank you all soooooo much!
