Kitchen Remodel

It was too hard to see the film on the other pictures so I did a close up... not the greatest picture but you get the idea.

I will add pictures of the yard once everything greens up and fills out.

Kitchen Remodel

You all know how much Josh and I love to work on projects! I knew what I wanted, sort of, but I wasn't sure how to make it work with my budget. Thank goodness for sleepless nights and the DIY Network!

Here is what the kitchen looked like when we bought it...

I loved the color when we first moved in but after a while I decided that I really wanted something lighter...

And here is what it looks like now!

Josh added a sliding cupboard above so that I have a pretty place to put my china, we ripped out the middle section of the top cupboards and added Plexiglas and glass film (on some of them) to make them look a bit more modern. Then we added bead board wallpaper (I love Lowe's because they still carry wallpaper) to the bottom cupboards and painted them all white.

We also added another cupboard above the dishwasher. It still needs the crown molding to match the other ones but I couldn't wait.

Oh, we also painted the walls chamomile yellow! It is very bright and cheery and I love it! Now I just need to liven up my dining set...that will have to wait until I'm done with the yard! And after I have the baby...
